Summer 2009
Welcome to the Cameron School of Business. This past spring we celebrated our 30th Anniversary as a business school. I enjoyed the opportunity to re-connect with many alumni to learn why they so valued their business education with us. Invariably, conversations evolved to the difficult economy and then to what today’s business students need to learn and know to succeed upon graduation. What I continually heard was the Cameron School of Business needs to continue to stress the combination of things that has made us s
o unique:
- Talented, experienced faculty dedicated to student learning.
- Strong, focused undergraduate programs like our relatively new Entrepreneurship & Business Development concentration (“major”).
- Four cutting-edge graduate programs: M.S. in Computer Science & Information Systems (CSIS), M.S. in Accountancy (MSA), International MBA and Professional MBA.
- Broad global learning opportunities
including our Trans-Atlantic Business School Alliance Dual Degree Program at the undergraduate level and our new International MBA.
- Cutting-edge technology resources, including our Financial Markets Room and forthcoming $1M BB&T Student Managed Investment Fund.
- Leveraging the popularity of Southeast North Carolina for recently retired senior executives to serve as Executives in Residence and mentors in our Cameron Executive Network [hot button Cameron Executive Network over 160 Mentors, 400 Mentor-Student pairings.
- Strong student life programs and support, including internships.
I encourage you to take time at our web site to learn more about the Cameron School of Business. I welcome your questions or comments, especially from our Alumni.
Sincerely,
Larry Clark
Dean
