To register for the UNCW Certificate in Financial Planning, please complete the Registration Form by clicking on the link below and fax it to Jennifer Mackethan, Center for Business and Economic Services at 910.962.3579 (secure fax).
Please note the following policies:
Attendance: Attendance is expected at all classes. If, for any reason, you believe you will be unable to attend class, you should e-mail the instructor (sackleyw@uncw.edu) or the program administrator (mackethanj@uncw.edu). It is your responsibility to secure information covered, completed or assigned in class. Students with less than 80% attendance may not successfully complete the course.
Materials: Please remember to purchase the associated book before the start of each module. The books are available at The American College website:

Additionally, you will need to purchase a financial calculator (prices range from $40 to $100).
Refunds:The UNCW Certificate in Financial Planning consists of 6 courses/modules that are 11 weeks each. Each course/module is $750 and is payable at the start of the course. Students who cannot complete an individual course/module can request a refund based on the following schedule:
- After registration but prior to the first 10% of the course - 90% refund
- Between the first 10% and the end of the first 25% of the course/module - 50% refund
- Between the first 25% and the end of the first 50% of the course - 25% refund
- After the end of the first 50% - 0% refund
