CSB Project Management Certificate Program - Instructors

Drew Rosen, PhD

Drew has held the rank of Professor of Operations and Project Management at UNCW since 2002. He served as MBA director from 1997 through 1999. He was also honored by being elected as the 2002 International President and CEO of APICS (The Association for Operations Management). He consults with numerous Fortune 500
companies on logistics and project management in the United States
and Europe and has taught both operations and project mgmt courses
to organizations in the United States, Germany, and France. Drew
creates an approach to teaching that balances learning from both a
theoretical and practical perspective allowing attendees to adapt the
knowledge to their needs and working environment with clear and
relevant learning application.

 

 

 

Joe Dougherty, MBA, MA

is an accomplished management consultant with first-hand experience managing large-scale economic development and post-merger integration projects, as well as specialized expertise in financial services, strategic planning and business development. He has acted as a trusted advisor to leading companies, non-profit agencies and national governments for more than 15 years and has worked in 30 countries. Mr. Dougherty has worked for Deloitte & Touche and A.T. Kearney as well as Citibank, Bank of Ireland and
the US FDIC. His clients have included Wilmington’s PPD, the
US Agency for International Development, the World Bank,
Prudential Insurance Company, India’s Ministry of Labor,
Thailand’s Ministry of Finance, and many others.  Joe has taught
MBA-level courses with for the Cameron School and he has also
lead seminars on Team Dynamics, Innovation, Persuasive Writing
and other topics both for UNCW and for clients around the world.
After graduating summa cum laude from Loyola College in Maryland,
Joe earned an MBA with a concentration in Public Policy and
Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business as well as an MA in international economics from Johns Hopkins University.
