Lynnea Mallalieu, PhD
Lynnea is an Associate Professor of Marketing and holds a Ph.D. in
Marketing from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Marketing from the University of
Salford (England), and a B.A. in Journalism from the Pennsylvania State
University. Her professional background includes several years in sales and
consulting in Europe primarily in the Business to
Business and Tourism sectors. Clients included Formica UK Ltd.,
H&R Johnson Tiles, Embassy Hotels Group, Greater Manchester
Tourism and Leisure Group, Greater Manchester Olympic Bid
Committee, Marks & Spencer, Waddington’s Games/Parker Brothers
and Boddington’s Strangeways Brewery. She has published
research focusing on trust between salespeople and purchasing
managers; and on customers’ cognitive and emotional responses
to salespeople in a retail context. Dr. Mallalieu teaches professional
selling and sales management at UNCW and she serves on the
Board of Directors of Cape Fear Sales and Marketing Executives
(SMEI) as well as on the National Council of Pi Sigma Epsilon, the
National Sales and Marketing Fraternal Organization.
