AACSB Accreditation

The Cameron School's degree programs are fully accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)

The University of North Carolina Wilmington’s graduated its first business major more than four decades ago. Growing out of the university’s Department of Business and Economics, the Cameron School of Business has graduated the state, nation and world’s business leaders since 1979.

In 2010, the Cameron School had more than 1,750 undergraduates and 250 graduate students enrolled in a business degree program. The Cameron offers a wide range of business options for students and working professionals, including a Professional MBA program designed for students with professional careers and several international options that features study abroad with accredited partner universities in 11 nations.

One of the key assets of the Cameron School is the unmatched access students have to working and retired business leaders. The Cameron Executive Network (CEN) matches motivated undergraduates with retired and active senior executives. Mentors come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including firms such as AT&T, Screen Gems Studios and Lockheed Martin. CEN mentors work one-on-one with students to help them develop a stronger understanding of the business world and polish their professional networking and interviewing skills.
