This program of study is designed for students interested in developing entrepreneurial business skills including:
- Thinking creatively and innovatively
- Identifying, evaluating and exploiting business opportunities
- Commercialization (taking new products/ services to market).
- Developing a business plan
- Building an entrepreneurial team
- Financing the venture and raising capital to expand operations
- Managing a growing business
- Developing a global entrepreneurial perspective
- Corporate entrepreneurship
- Applied learning through practical experience.
Additional Benefits Include:
Guest Speakers: Entrepreneurs, investors, and service providers(bankers, attorneys,
accountants, and consultants) share their thoughts and experiences in EBD classes and ;at special events.
Shadow Program: Students have the
opportunity in the Emerging Ventures class to
interact with an entrepreneur, investor or service provider to gain insight into what these
individuals experience on a daily basis.
Entrepreneurship Club: This student-run organization offers numerous benefits including: a rocket pitch event, guest speakers, assisting in the business plan competition, entrepreneurship to high school students and social/networking events. The club is run like a startup company.
