Prior to moving to North Carolina, was involved with the business community in Cranberry Twp. PA (a northern suburb of Pittsburgh).As both a board member and President of the Chamber in the early 1990's.

Owner, operator of two 7-eleven stores in Western Pennsylvania.  First store in Western PA to computerize its daily reporting and weekly ordering processes.

Worked for PPG Industries, a Fortune 100 company in both Pennsylvania and Louisiana. Various jobs included programmer analysis, financial analysis and strategic planning analysis.
