Welcome To Entrepreneurship Club
The Entrepreneurship Club (E-Club) was designed in 2006 to create a non-threatening foundation for communication and support between individuals in the Wilmington area with a shared passion in the trade of running a business. The Entrepreneurship Club supports students (Undergraduate and Graduate) in all studies at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW); thus far, the club includes students studying Business (Entrepreneurship and Business Development, Finance, Management, Marketing, Operations Management, Accounting), Communications, Psychology and Sociology, Health and Applied Science (Parks and Recreations), and Marine Biology. The Club holds the following events to support their membership:
Speaker Meetings
Questions and Answers with visiting or local entrepreneurs.
Wednesday’s at 5:00 PM in Cameron Hall 210
Rocket-Pitch Events
10 minute, “Rocket Pitch,” that outlines business plan or a developed business idea. The entrepreneur pitches the business plan in front of an advisory panel that reciprocates to the presentation with invaluable constructive criticism.
Center for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) Event Invitations
Networking events for student entrepreneurs who aspire to develop mentors and/or business relationships with successful local entrepreneurs.
Social Networking Events
Free pizza and refreshments after each speaker meeting.
Group dinners and outings.
Business Plan support
Entrepreneurship and Business Development (EBD) majors and Entrepreneurship Club members join together to form a committee of students that are available at their own discretion to advise UNCW students through the process of developing a successful business plan.
